The aim of the ‘You Can Group’ design area is to promote and back new entrepreneurial projects. Among these projects, YCG discovered and brought to Europe, Molo Design. Based in Canada, this studio invented the ‘soft’ line; self-supporting eco-friendly cardboard paper furniture and panels that adapt and arrange into any shape or dimension to fulfil the most diverse requirements. Utterly creative elements, Molo’s originality and uniqueness inspire the most stunning and versatile designs. The honeycomb-shaped structures open up, just like a concertina, creating walls, armchairs, light fixtures and partitions that can then be eventually folded away like a magic book. They are on display at the MoMA (N.Y.) and together with You Can Group, arrange various shows and events as well as partake in hot spot events during Milan Design week at the Furniture Show. Currently there is an exciting new project for the design team under way that involves bringing together design, cosmetics and luxury.
